The seafood is fresh but not expensive. Highly recommend to buy seafood and barbecue outside the market. I bought a live big fish with only 6 0 0 yen.

This is a great place to find gifts, fresh seafood, many kinds of Wakayama specialty fruits. Food court inside and outside area selections were awesome; sashimi, seafood don, pizza, etc.. Definitely go with the seafood here, sashimi and sushi is good with fresh fish

In three years we have been here 5 times . Been all over japan and this is the best fish market we have been to.There’s everything you’d want in a fish market plus they have a fresh veg and meat section as well.There’s also a hot food cafeteria if you want to eat straight away but the best bit is there is an attached bbq bit at the front of the market . It’s a couple of quid each to get in and use their utensils so just stock up in the market with what you want to eat and just cook it here you can’t get fresher than that.Tip: the fresh wagyu in the market is really cheap and really good quality.Extra tip after eating all that food and want to relax ,if you stand at the front of the market and look outside to your right up the hill at the building ,that is the best super sento in central japan

Pick out your own fresh fish and grill it right up there BBQ area.

There are many souvenir shops incl. local specialty goods like salted/dried plum or seafood. Besides you can eat-in fresh Sushi, Sashimi with bowl of rice or Ra-men. You can find drugstore next door (rest room is attached).

Amazing to walk around and look at everything and we had a wonderful lunch here too.

A fish market with food, BBQ, seafood merchandise and souvenirs. Can easily spend an hour inside.

Seafood market where you can pick up fresh shashim and have them in the food court. Also there's a duty free pharmacy onsite with plenty of parking spots.

Wow! The very best of any and all the seafood that is yearned for. In addition there are so many selections of so many things to eat that it gets confusing at times.

This place is awesome. It's bustling with activity, and there's so much to see. The kids and I loved it. We also had some very delicious food and samples. Great place to kill some time!

Highly recommended! Big market with fresh fishes which you can Bbq at ¥300/pax outside or eat inside the canteen area. There are also souvenirs which I can buy. There is also a fruit stall and drug store. There is also a large onsen on the hill top. love to go again!

It's always busy and pretty fishy. Tuna fish cut show is interesting, but a little hard to watch due to crowd. If you are lucky, you'll see TV talents. Sometimes they are recording at out there.

It is easy to take bus to Tore Tore Market from Shirahama Station. There is a wet market selling fresh seafood and some dried seafood. There are more local people than tourist. However, not much variety of restaurants inside. You may spend half day there if you want to enjoy BBQ.

Good PLACE to enjoy all fresh seafood, Sashimi, especially TORO very reasonable price. and Kumano Beef. If your place have kitchen, this is highly recommended pla e to buy fresh food to your kicthen

Very good seafood with low cost.

Just a 10min bus ride from Shirarahama beach, and 5min from Shirahama station. The market boasts of fresh seafood and even whale meat probably from the infamous Taiji village. You can order seafood for grilling or takeaway. There’s also a fastfood that mostly serves ricebowl with sashimi. Souvenir shops selling sweets and soy sauce, plums, Wakayama oranges, everything that Wakamaya is famous for. Most of the time, at noon, there’s a demonstration on cutting of fresh tuna for sashimi. It’s in Japanese, but still fun to watch everytime.

The BBQ place will charge you 300 yen per person for setting up fire and utensils.Sushimi: Also buy from the seafood market indoor at a very reasonable price. I mean " very, very, reasonable"Food court: They serve set meal, and Ramen as well.Snack: There are several stores outside selling pizza, ice cream, and Japanese snack.Shopping: Plenty of shops selling Japanese condiments, snacks crackers, etc. There's also a big drug store.Very worth a visit there.
